I am
a Certified ACSM Personal Trainer,
a 500 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher,
a WellCoaches Health Coach,
and have a BA in Psychology from USF,
with a passion for helping others achieve their personal and fitness goals.
My Story
I started on my fitness journey very young, always loving movement and exercise. My first job in fitness, at the age of 17, was teaching Jazzercize at an all-women's gym. That is where I fell in love with helping others get fit and strong!
As a young mother, I found that exercise was my outlet and my medicine for staying healthy and happy :) There came a point where I needed more than intense and vigorous workouts. That's when I found the incredibly beautiful practice of yoga. Yoga helped me on a personal level to find balance mentally, physically and spiritually. Today my practice is still guiding me to higher levels of insight and peace.
One of my biggest dreams was to have very own gym and business. I took on full time work as a personal trainer over fourteen years ago and so happy and overjoyed that my big dream came true. My fitness studio, Thrive Fitness and Wellness, opened its doors in 2016 and has been growing ever since. In 2017, I expanded my business to online coaching and training.
I love adding to my skill set as a health professional. My advanced certifications include ACSM personal trainer, Hatha yoga instructor 500 hr, Wellcoaches health coach. and my BA in Psychology from the University of South Florida. And I'm so excited to have recently added public speaking and online training to this mix.
More than any professional training could do, my own life experiences have taught me the most valuable lessons and have given me the personal knowledge of how to maneuver through life in the healthiest ways possible, especially when life gets extra challenging.
